The Drawback Modernization NPRM comment period concluded yesterday, September 17. Our company sent comments on more than 30 regulations that, if they remain as currently written in the NPRM, could have a negative impact on our clients. In particular, our focus was on the acquisition cost requirement for manufacturing claimants, and we encouraged trade members and claimants to issue comments on this topic as well. We are hopeful that CBP will recognize the importance of revising these regulations to protect the ability of companies to claim drawback.
