On February 2nd, 2017 the New York/New Jersey Foreign Freight Forwarders & Brokers Association celebrated their 100th anniversary by commemorating the past and planning for the future. On display were tariff books from 1897, 1909, and 1913, the Tariff Act of 1930 and a Customs regulations book from 1892, as well as an uncashed C.J. Holt & Co., Inc. duty drawback refund check from 1889 for $0.40, which would now be equivalent to $10.84. The Centennial Dinner Gala celebrated companies that have served through the Port of NY and NJ for more than 100 years, including C.J. Holt & Co., Inc. which has served for more than 150 years. Holt was the second oldest company honored by the NYNJFFF&BA. Presenting the awards for all companies was Vice President of Holt and Treasurer for the Association, Dave Corn. To receive the award was Margo VanHeusden, Executive Vice President, the fourth generation to manage Comstock/Holt.
