Trade Support Network (TSN)
The primary purpose of the TSN is to provide a vehicle by which the trade communicates its user requirement recommendations and overall input for the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The TSN consists of representatives from the trade, Customs and the E-Customs Partnership. Edwin W. Van Ek, President of C. J. Holt & Co., Inc., is the Trade Co-Chair of the TSN Drawback Subcommittee. As Co-Chair, he will approve the national user requirements for drawback in ACE.
American Association of Exporters and Importers (AAEI)
AAEI represents both US importers and exporters before the Executive Branch, Congress, the US Trade Representative and Customs and Border Protection. The AAEI Drawback Committee is the leading committee in the nation on drawback matters. Edwin W. Van Ek serves on the AAEI Leadership Council and is Co-Chair of the Drawback Committee.
National Customs Brokers & Forwarders
Association of America, Inc. (NCBFAA)
The NCBFAA represents nearly 800 member companies with 100,000 employees in international trade — the nation’s leading freight forwarders, customs brokers, ocean transportation intermediaries, NVOCCs and air cargo agents, serving more than 250,000 importers and exporters. Comstock is an active member of the Drawback Committee.
Joint Industry Group (JIG)
JIG works particularly close with Customs, Border Protection and Congress to promote trade policy that effectively supports Customs’ dual mission of border enforcement and trade facilitation. Comstock is actively involved in the JIG Drawback Committee.
Organization of Women in International Trade (OWIT) Comstock is a member of both the New York City and Los Angeles chapters of OWIT that promote education and networking for professional women and men in international trade areas. Brenda Sweetman moderates an annual panel on duty drawback for the Los Angeles chapter.
